Forever' concert honours founder David Carolane OAM in a celebration of 60 amazing years
The Tudor Choristers’ 60th (Diamond) Anniversary Concert, Forever, features a collection of Carolane’s favourite works, recommended by his family and carefully curated by Music Director, Dr Kathleen McGuire.
In a grateful acknowledgement of six decades performing on Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung country, the concert will open with the Choristers singing a stirring piece from the Wominjeka Song Cycle by the award-winning, Yorta Yorta composer Deborah Cheetham AO.
The choir will then present Tudor-era anthems and madrigals, plus other choral classics. Alumni, alongside a specially formed choir from Carolane’s more recent past in regional Victoria and New South Wales, will join with the Choristers in a grand finale of select movements from Gabriel Fauré’s Requiem.
We look forward to publishing more details in the very near future; please pencil the last couple of weeks of September in your diaries and keep an eye on the events page of our website
