Further information:

FOREVER, the Tudor Choristers' 60th ('Diamond') anniversary concert conducted by Dr Kathleen McGuire, will pay tribute to David Carolane OAM who founded the choir in 1962 and led it for 25 years. Carolane (known affectionately as "DC") passed away early in 2022 at age 91 and will be remembered as a beloved choir director who pioneered many ensembles. The anniversary program includes some of DC’s favourite pieces, concluding with movements from Fauré's Requiem.

The "Carolane Choir" directed by Margaret Phillips has formed in Albury for the performance, comprising participants who sang with DC in recent years in Albury and northern Victoria. The Tudor Choristers will open the concert with Deborah Cheetham’s Wominjeka Birrarunga, followed by traditional Tudor-era madrigals and anthems, plus works by Sullivan and Vaughan Williams, then the guest choir will perform, followed by the Fauré finale with both choirs plus friends and alumni of the choir. Guest artists include Sally Morris (soprano - Albury), Shauntai Batzke (soprano - Melbourne only) and Jerzy Kozlowski (baritone), Hugh Fullarton (organ) and Janette Patton (piano).

Two performances:

1. Sat 17 Sept 4PM 2022 - St Matthew's Anglican Church, Albury NSW

2. Sun 25 Sept 2PM 2022 - Hawthorn Town Hall (Melbourne)
